It is one of the most famous in the world and the first in the history — a tandem of a rotary lure and a rubber fish. The signal emitted by the palette lures different kinds of predators to the armed fish, even from a great distance. A fish, or minnow, is not a ripper, but a pretty stiff bait. The thing, however, is well thought out and, thanks to the tandem, behaves quite unpredictably — bounces to the sides, jumps up, or jerks down. Sometimes the fish spins on its axis. Aglia TW Mino’s movements highly resembles a wounded, sick or cavorting body. Perch, pike, and trout from larger rivers cannot resist it. The largest ones attract sea trout and salmon in rivers. The lure with a fish of natural or gudgeon’s colour or a silver palette placed beneath the surface is often attacked by an asp almost immediately after falling into the water, after the first rotation of the reel handle. It is not a tiny bait — four parts are 9 cm long together, so the designers came up with a method that allows for a simple replacement of the fish, which greatly increases the number of possible combinations. As the entire TW series, they also allow for the attachment of accessories as you see fit. They are manufactured in sizes #0 to #4, with palettes of gold, silver and copper colours and a distinctive TW pattern that allows for the change of colours of the rotating palette at different speeds. Only Mino #0 does not have this pattern, but the baby fish is armed with a treble hook.
Mepps Aglia TW Mino lures go in three versions — natural, salmon and gudgeon.
