Balance between strength, diameter, smoothness and resistance to environmental conditions. Braid resistant to salt, ultraviolet rays and water. 100% Spectra fiber, which is ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), which is stronger and lighter than fibers made from other components, including Kevlar.
