Moving into hook design was a natural progression for the lads at Korda and the patterns are the result of literally thousands of hours on the bank and many, many carp later. Having been fieldtested by hook experts Adam Penning and Damian Clarke, you know that they’ve been designed to the highest order.
The entire range uses a dull matt coating, which makes the surface of the hook noticeably smoother. In turn, this aids penetration and also prevents the hook from rusting. Consequently, this makes them last an awful lot longer. Not only this, it also camouflages them into the lake bed. Having seen how the carp react towards your end tackle, removing the glint from your hook is imperative in inducing consistent takes.
The points are super sharp as you would expect and in experience the straight points are superior at pricking the mouth. They also retain the points even in the toughest of conditions allowing you to use them more than once.
We’ve also found that a curve in the pattern creates even more secure hook-holds; whether that’s the actual curvature of the pattern or the shrink tubing placed over the eye. Take a look at our dedicated Rigz section to learn how to do this. The barbs have been made as small as possible too, to aid penetration but still retain enough of a bump to hold the hook in place.
The range will appeal to literally everyone and there is a pattern to suit every form of carp fishing; whether that is bottom bait rigs, pop-ups, zig rigs or surface fishing. There are subtle hooks and large, powerful hooks to target cute, wary specimens in the winter or huge, European carp in snags.
The British company Korda develops and manufactures the World's best carp fishing terminal tackle. Each hook, lead, swivel or lead clip is produced to exacting standards to help you catch more carp.
Our mission is to make a difference to carp fishing and of course earn a living along the way. Every one of us in the team is proud of the contribution we are making towards angling and will strive to seek perfection in every product that we produce.
