An already legendary MADCAT rod, the Close Combat just got even better. Specially designed for vertical jigging with a baitfish, this rod is famous for its supreme strength, and it now packs this into a length of just 1.7m making it ideal to fish from a boat or even belly boat. Since the rod is not designed for casting, the guides are as small as we could get away with making them to keep the overall weight down and make the blank super-fast. The whole outfit is superbly light and sensitive, yet powerful enough to set the hook on monster catfish and play them with real strength.
Equipped with a double-lock Fuji TVS-TJS reel seat.
