Shimano Pitbull PE 12 is the newest twelve-strand braided line. In the production of the braid, the latest Japanese polyethylene (PE) IZANAS fiber was used, which replaced the well-known Dyneema. The new material, which the manufacturer calls "Super Fiber", has increased tear and abrasion resistance and allows the production of smaller diameter braids without sacrificing strength. Thanks to the smooth surface, the braid is very quiet on the guides and passes smoothly during the cast.
